Capacity building of health personnel in 4 CSIs in the Southern Region in the use of mH...
On October 6, 2025, capacity-building workshops will begin for health personnel in four pilot health districts in the Southern Region of Cameroon to use the mHealth software. Health facilities involved are the integrated health centers (CSIs) of Ebolowa, Meyomessala, Sangmelima, and Ambam. The various workshops, which will conclude on October 11, 2025, will also involve the participation of UNICEF and various departments within the Ministry of Public Health: DSF, DROS, CI, CIS, DLMEP, CNLS. At the end of the training, staff from the identified pilot health facilities will begin using the software.
The mHealth software was developed by MK WBC, which was selected through a UNICEF Cameroon call for tenders. Its main objective is to strengthen compliance and retention in care among pregnant/breastfeeding women and adolescents living with HIV. The software, which is distributed in its web and mobile versions, allows for comprehensive patient care by healthcare professionals, including medication and appointment tracking, as well as secure exchanges between patients and caregivers during the follow-up phase.
